After being distracted by the spectacularly bad launch of SimCity 2013, I finally sat down and took the time to do something new. This time I’m doing a song, specifically the Babs Seed song.
Highlights…
Brad Seed: I know StaryOak is gonna chew me out for this, but I’m going with the name Brad, for Babs counterpart. The reason being Brad is a human nickname (short for Bradley) just like Babs (short for Barbara) and more importantly, it also sounds lake ‘bad’, allowing the pun to be maintained.
Lyrics: The main change in the lyrics is the boy’s vocabulary is dumbed down a bit to make it sound more boyish.
Cutie Marks: It’s time I finally addressed this issue. To be honest, I don’t like these things at all. It might stem from my own real life dislike of tattoos, but I feel like the characters really don’t need this visual representation of their personality in order for fans to understand them. For the time being, i'm going to leave it as 'Cutie Mark", but if you can think of a more masculine word (starting with the letter C obviously) that can be used as a 'slang term', I may add it to my fanfics.
