Equestria Boys Part 10: The Fight

[Next Scene: It’s Friday morning and the 6 boys are standing around in the cafeteria loading area near the dumpsters waiting for Sunset Glare to arrive.]

Dusk Shine: So is this the place?

Applejack: Yea. The teachers never come back here, so it’s the perfect place for something like this.

Butterscotch: [nervous] Maybe Sunset Glare decided not come after all.

Sunset Glare: [enters around the corner with his lackies] Well, well, well.  Look who showed up.  [Flare Warden can be seen in the background.  She is poking her head around the corner watching the exchange.  None of the boys notice her.]  You should have heeded my warning Dork Shine.

[Flare can be seen pulling out her Smartphone and recording the event.]

Dusk Shine: [trying to reason] You don’t have to do this Glare.  Just let it go.

Sunset Glare: [hostile] Let it go? [getting angrier] Let it go!  You expect me to just “let this go”?

Dusk Shine:  I don’t want to fight you.  Maybe we could work something out.

Sunset Glare: Okay! How about I work your teeth out of your gums!

[And with that, the fight begins.  Sunset Glare starts with a right hook, Dusk dodges left causeing Glare’s hook to miss.  Glare follows with a left uppercut.  He gets a hit, causing Dusk to stagger back.]

Sunset Glare: [taunting] Is that all you got Dork Shine.

Dusk Shine: You’ve made your point.  Don’t make this any worse than it has to be.

Sunset Glare: You’re the one whose making everything worse!

[Sunset Glare attacks with another left hook, Dusk is able to dodge to the right.  Glare follows up with a right hook which Dusk is able to duck.  Glare quickly follows up by a left hand grab, he gets Dusk by the collar.  He gets in three solid right punches before Dusk is able to break free.]

Bubble Berry: [concerned] Oooo… That’s gotta hurt.

[Summoning his courage, Dusk Shine swings with a forward right punch. Glare easily grabs Dusk’s punch and twists Dusk’s are around Dusk’s back.  He follows this up with a kick to Dusk’s back, knocking Dusk on his stomach.]

Butterscotch: [worried] Oh no! Are you okay Dusk Shine!

Sunset Glare: [taunting] Give up yet?

[Breathing heavily Dusk Shine does the only thing he can think to do.  He pulls in both his legs like a horse ready to buck.  With all his might, Dusk Shine unleashes a mighty horse kick on Sunset Glare, knocking him on his back.  Everyone is stunned.]

Applejack: [stunned] Holy crap! Did you see that?!

[Glare’s lackeys run over to help him]

Dopey: You alright boss? [offers to help him up]

Sunset Glare: [Swat’s Dopey’s hand away] I’m fine, Dork Shine just got a lucky hit. [Stands up] Let’s finish this!

[Sunset Glare charges in with a right haymaker.  Dusk Shine quickly slides under the swing and while Glare is off ballence, Dusk follows up with a roundhouse kick to Glare’s back, knocking him down again.]

Rainbow Blitz: [cheering] All right Dusk Shine!

Sunset Glare: [very angry] Now you’re gonna get it! [Stands up and charges Dusk Shine]  AAAAAH!

[With all his might Sunset Glare pulls his right fist back ready to unleash a big hit.  Concentrating very hard, Dusk Shine pulls back for another kick.  With perfect timing he lands a solid straight kick… directly to Sunset Glare’s groin.]

Sunset Glare: [in pain] Argh! [falls over and curls up grasping himself in agony. ]

[With the fight over the humane 5 approach Dusk Shine]

Rainbow Blitz: [amazed] Dang dude… I didn’t think you had it in you…

Elusive: Normally, I wouldn’t approve of such a low blow, but for him [looks at Glare who is still curled up in agony] I’m willing to make an exception.

Dusk Shine: [exhausted] Let’s get out of here. [he and his new friends leave]

[With Dusk Shine and his friends gone, the camera moves back to Sunset Glare we is starting to recover.]

Dopey: [helps Sunset Glare up] He got you good boss.  What are you gonna do now?

Sunset Glare: [his voice is a little squeaky] Something I thought I would never do.

Lightning Snap: [concerned] Wait, you don’t mean?

[Next Scene: the three jocks are walking down the hall.]

Lightning Snap: [worried] You don’t want to do this man!  If the football team hears about this, they’ll never let you live it down.

Sunset Glare:  [angry] This isn’t about the football team, it’s about something much bigger.

Lightning Snap: [confused] But what could possibly be bigger than the football team.  Seriously dude, you’ve been acting really weird lately.  What the hell is going on?

[The three jocks reach Vice Principal Artemis’ office]

Sunset Glare: I’ll tell you more about it tomorrow.  Just let me do this alone.

Lighting Snap: [defeated] Well alright man, good luck.

Dopey: Yea, good luck boss.

[Dopey and Lighting Snap leave.  Sunset Glare takes a deep breath and knocks on the Vice Principal’s door.]

Sunset Glare: [pretending to be in a lot of pain] Uggg! Vice Principal Artemis! The new guy just beat me up…

Vice Principal Artemis: [concerned] Are you all right?

Sunset Glare: [acting] Uhhhh… I don’t know, I think he may have broken something.

Vice Principal Artemis: [concerned] Go visit Dr. Redhoof, I’ll have a word with this… [doesn’t know who new student is]

Sunset Glare: Dusk Shine, his name is Dusk Shine.

[Next Scene: Inside Vice Principal Artemis’ office.  Dusk Shine is sitting in front of Artemis’ desk.  It’s very dark inside the office.]

Vice Principal Artemis: [very angry] You’re in BIG trouble now young man.  Violence is not tolerated here are Canterlot High.

Dusk Shine: [scared] But- but, he started it!  I was only defending myself…

Vice Principal Artemis: [doesn’t believe him] That’s what I hear all the time.  Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t suspend you for the next 2 weeks.

[Just then there is a knock on the door.  The door opens and Flare Warden comes in.]

Flare Warden:  Because he’s telling the truth.

Vice Principal Artemis: [confused] Ms. Warden, what makes you say that?

Flare Warden:  Sunset Glare has been threatening Dusk Shine for the past two days, I knew it was only a matter of time before he made good on that threat.  So I followed him, and I got the whole thing on tape. [Pulls out her smartphone, hits the play button and hands it to the Vice Principal.]

Recording: “I don’t want to fight you.  Maybe we could work something out.” “Okay! How about I work your teeth out of your gums!” [fighting commences]

Vice Principal Artemis: [has seen enough] Amazing! [hands Flare Warden her smartphone] I always suspected that boy was just another punk, and to think he almost pinned this fight on you.  I’m sorry Dusk Shine, Sunset Glare is the one who should be suspended, not you.

Dusk Shine: [relieved] Thanks Flare! You really saved my flank.

Flare Warden: Aww shoot, what was I supposed to do?  Not prove your innocence?  Wouldn't be much of a Wondercolt, would I?

Vice Principal Artemis: We’ll have to postpone the game due to Sunset Glare’s suspension.  If you will excuse me, I need to let the coach know about this.  I believe Rainbow Blitz would make good backup quarterback.  [leaves his office]

Flare Warden:  You’re a pretty cool guy Dusk Shine.  Maybe you and I could go to the arcade tomorrow after the game.

Dusk Shine: [get excited] Yea! I’d love to… [Realizes something] Wait, their postponing the game?! [starts panicking] No, no-no-no-no-no, no no no no no! Nonononono! They can't! The portal! It'll be too late! [Runs out of the office]

Flare Warden: [dumbfounded][to herself] The hell was that about?
