[The scene opens in the music store.  Record Scrape, the casher, is standing by the counter listening to some music on his Beats by Dre when Rainbow Blitz and his friends enter the store.  Blitz is holding an old guitar case.]

Elusive: Rainbow Blitz, as a friend I must know.  Why can you not continue to play the guitar you have?

[Without saying a word, Blitz places the guitar case on the store counter and opens it.  The guitar inside is old, the fingerboard is cracked, and a few of the strings are broken.]

Elusive: Oh… Now I understand.

Bubble Berry: [Runs up with a purple tiger stripe guitar] How about this one?

Rainbow Blitz: [flatly] No Berry.

Bubble Berry: [Runs up with a banjo] Check this one out!

Rainbow Blitz: [getting annoyed] No.

Bubble Berry: [Runs up holding a jar of mayonnaise] How about this one?

Rainbow Blitz: [annoyed] That’s not an instrument!

Applejack: Well, watcha lookin’ for?

Rainbow Blitz: That's the problem! I need something that looks as cool and manly as I'm gonna make it sound.

[Just then, Blitz notices something that he likes.  His eyes light up in typical fan boy fashion.  The camera zooms in on a stylish, red, expensive looking Stratocaster.  Blitz reaches up and grabs the guitar’s fingerboard.  At the same time the guitar is grabbed by another hand, an orange one with blue painted fingernails.  The camera zooms out to reveal Flare Warden, along with her three friends.]

Rainbow Blitz: [Lets go of the guitar][Nervous] S’up Flare. What brings you here?

Flare Warden: [takes the Stratocaster off the wall. Her friends all move in closer.] Hey Blitz.  Me and the girls were just shopping around for some new equipment. [smug] I personally was in need of new guitar worthy of a master like me.

Rainbow Blitz: [offended] What!?  But I’m the guitar master of Canterlot High, and that guitar should be mine!

Harmony Bass: [comes to Flare’s aid] Oh really?  [condescending]  Have you forgotten about last year’s spring fling?  You were upstaged by that grey moron with a washboard!

Rainbow Blitz: [on the defensive] That’s because I was using a crappy guitar!  But with this guitar, I can show everyone what true rock sounds like.

Flare Warden: [scoffs] You wouldn’t know true rock if came up and bit you.

Rainbow Blitz: [getting angry] I know a whole hell of a lot more than you, [condescending] little lady!

Melody Drumline: [offended] Oh no you didn’t!

Bubble Berry: [comes to Blitz’ aid] Oh yes he did it! [Rainbow Blitz pushes him away.]

Anne Atom: [shyly] Uh… Maybe you two could work something out…

Applejack: Anne’s right. If you ask me, this sounds to like the perfect time for a nice, friendly competition.  Winner gets the guitar.

Rainbow Blitz: Awesome idea.  Let’s have a shred off!

Flare Warden: [pleased] A shredoff?

Rainbow Blitz: [determined] Shred ON, and may the best MAN win. [Berry hands him a simple looking guitar.]

Flare Warden: [Melody Drumline hands her a guitar] Don’t worry, [pulls out her guitar pick] she will.

[The two teenagers start to play their guitars.  Their solos start off simple and increase in difficulty.  Split screen shots show both of them playing their hardest. Realizing he is losing, Blitz picks up his game, but when he does, something weird happens.  He begins to power up, like he did when he fought alongside Lord Dusk Shine.  After sprouting his wings and horse ears, he falls over backwards into a display, making a mess and ruining his solo.  Flare effortlessly finishes her solo and wins the shred off.]

Flare Warden: [approaches Blitz, who is lying is a pile of junk] Nice try, rainbow boy.  Looks like I’m still the guitar master of Canterlot High. [She and her friends begin to leave]

Harmony Bass: [as they are leaving][teasing] Nice cat ears.  Have fun at the anime convention.

Rainbow Blitz: [humiliated][to himself] I freakin’ hate anime… [Applejack helps him back up] This sucks dude! I thought crap like this wouldn’t happen again!

Bubble Berry: Well… at least the guitar looks cool. [points to the guitar]

Rainbow Blitz: [looks at the guitar] Whoa! [the guitar has morphed, it is no longer a simple guitar.  It is now a shiny blue color, and the fingerboard is now decorated with golden lightning bolts] Now that’s cool!  I wonder if this will work for my motorcycle too. [puts on a Canterlot High baseball cap to hide his Wondercolt ears.]

[Blitz and his friends walk over to Record Scrape to make their purchase.  Blitz places a few bills on the counter.]

Record Scrape: [Silently shakes his head]

Rainbow Blitz: [confused] What?  This guitar is only $179.

Record Scrape: [Silently points to the mess Rainbow Blitz made]

Rainbow Blitz: [embarresed] Oh… common man, it was an accident.

Record Scrape: [Silently glares at Rainbow Blitz]

Rainbow Blitz: Fine… [frustrated, he reaches into his pocket and puts more bills on the counter] Your gonna pay for this!

Bubble Berry: No dummy! You just paid for it yourself.

Rainbow Blitz: [annoyed] Shuddup Berry!

[The end]
I've decided to get back to masculinizing material from the Equestria Girls franchise.  I'm going to start with all the shorts that came before Rainbow Rocks.  As always, I wanted to change things up so that it would be more interesting. Here a few highlights...
Flare Replaces Trixie- I though about having Trixie's counterpart for this short, but he just wasn't interesting enough for me.  Flare Warden on the other hand, has really grown on me, so I decided to cast her in the antagonist roll instead.  My interpretation of Flare is that she is more aggressive and prideful that Flash Sentry, so she would fit this roll very well.
Misogyny-  I've always seen Rainbow Blitz as being slightly misogynistic like many jocks, so part of the short's conflict stims from this.
Battle of the Sexes- Everyone knows that in a battle of the sexes, the misogynistic character must lose and be punished for their misogyny.  This is why the "you'll pay for this' joke is dumped onto Blitz.
Record's Silence- The main series seems to have confirmed that Vinyl Scratch has taken a vow of silence, so Record Scrape should be silent too.  I was original temped to have him communicate like Jacket from Payday 2, by pulling out a tape recorder and playing prerecorded messages, but I though it would be too complicated, especially if I started doing stories featuring him in the pony world.  Side note, his human stage name is DJ Dud-3, while his pony stage name is DJ Col-7.

Blitz hates anime? That's odd, I always thought he'd be a fan of Dragonball Z, One Punch Man, or Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. The last of which is considered MANime.
