Mare in the Moon: Part 2 (Stallion Version)

Knight Terror Nebula: Muhahahaha!

Mayor: Seize him! Only he knows where Lord Solaris is! [Several guard pegasi take flight and charge Anarchy Knight]

Knight Terror Nebula: Stand back, weaklings! [Uses magic to effortlessly repel the guards before disappearing into a strange black mist]

Rainbow Blitz: [Brakes free of Applejack's grasp and chases after the black mist] Come back here! [loses the trail] Nighttime? Forever? [Notices Dusk Shine heading towards the library] Where's he going?"

[Next Scene: Inside Dusk Shine's library.  Barbara is still passed out and is laying in a small bed.]

Barbara: [Talking in her sleep] Uh... We gotta stop Knight Terror Nebula...

Dusk Shine: [Tucks Barbara in] You've been up all night, Barb. You are a baby dragon after all. [Leaves Barbara and heads to the bookcase downstairs]  Elements, elements, elements... [flips through many books] Ugh! How can I stop Knight Terror Nebula without the Elements of Harmony?

Rainbow Blitz: [Flies in and pins dusk to the ground] And just what are the Elements of Harmony? And how did you know about Knight Terror Nebula, huh? Are you a spy? [Applejack grabs his tail] Whoa!

Applejack: Simmer down, Johnny.  He ain't no spy. But he sure knows what's going on. Don't you, Dusk? [Rainbow Blitz, Applejack, Elusive, Butterscotch, and Bubble Berry are all staring at Dusk Shine]

Dusk Shine: [hesitates before starting to explain] I read all about the prediction of Knight Terror Nebula. Some mysterious objects called the Elements of Harmony are the only things that can stop him, but I don't know what they are, where to find them, I don't even know what the hay they do!

Bubble Berry: [Reading from the bookshelf] "The Elements of Harmony: A Reference Guide."

Dusk Shine: [shoves Berry aside] How did you find that?!

Bubble Berry: It was under E, dummy!

Dusk Shine: [Embarrassed] Oh... [Takes the book and begins to read it] There are six Elements of Harmony, but only five are known: Kindness, Laughter, Generosity, Honesty and Loyalty. The sixth is complete mystery. [Anarchy Knight's black mist appears outside, as if watching them.] It is said, the last known location of the five elements was in the ancient castle of the royal alicorn brothers. It is located in what is now…

All Six: The Everfree Forrest!

[Next Scene: The stallion six are standing at the entrance to the Everfree Forrest.]

Bubble Berry: Alright boys! Let's go!

Dusk Shine: Not so fast. Look, I appreciate the offer, but I need to do this on my own.

Applejack: No can do, haystack. We sure ain't lettin' any friend of ours go into that creepy place alone. We're stickin' to you like caramel on a candy apple. [Everyone agrees]

Bubble Berry: Especially if there's candy apples in there. [Dusk Shine looks annoyed] What? Those things are good.  [Dusk Shine sighs and follows the group.]

[Deeper in the forrest]

Dusk Shine: So, none of you have been in here before?

Elusive: Oh, Heavens no! Just look at it - it's dreadful.

Applejack: [worried] And it ain't natural. [Anarchy Knight's mist appears again] Folk say it don't work the same as Equestria.

Dusk Shine: What's that supposed to mean?

Rainbow Blitz: [As if telling a scary campfire story] Nopony knows. You know why?

Applejack: Blitz, quit it.

Rainbow Blitz: Because every pony who's ever come in, has never come OUT! [suddenly the bluffs crumble beneath them.  The two pegasi take flight whilst the 4 earthbound ponies fall screaming]

Rainbow Blitz: Butterscotch! Quick! [Chases after his falling friends]

Butterscotch: Sweet Solaris, sweet Solaris! [Blitz quickly carries Berry to safety, while Butterscotch manages to save Elusive]

Applejack: [Grabs a tree root to slow his fall, but notices that Dusk Shine has slipped to the edge of the cliff] Hold on! I'm a-comin'! [releases the tree root, slides down to Dusk Shine and grabs his hooves]

Dusk Shine: Applejack! What do I do?

Applejack: [Looks around and thinks for a moment] Let go.

Dusk Shine: [shocked] Are you crazy!?

Applejack: No I ain't. I promise you'll be safe.

Dusk Shine: [Panicking] You're lying! You only want to save yourself!

Applejack: [looks Dusk Shine in the eye] Now listen here. What I'm sayin' to you is the honest truth. Let go, and you'll be safe.

Dusk Shine: [Closes his eyes and lets go] AHHHHH! [Blitz and Butterscotch catch him, much to his relief]

Butterscotch: [Struggles to hold Dusk Shine] Sorry guys. I don't work out much. [Dusk Shine notices Applejack climbing down to safety.]

[Meanwhile, Anarchy Knight's black mists moves onward towards a large animal in the distance…]

[Next Scene: The stallion six are moving deeper into the forrest]

Rainbow Blitz: And once Berry and Elusive were saved, whoosh... Me and Butterscotch loop-de-loop around and WHAM! Caught you right in the nick of time.

Dusk Shine: [annoyed] Yes, Rainbow, I was there, and I'm very grateful, but we gotta…

Rainbow Blitz: [Interrupts] HEY! Don't call me that! Call me Blitz, only my mother calls me 'Rainbow'.

Dusk Shine: Sorry, but we really need to… [Suddenly, an angry manticoress jumps in front of the six and blocks their path] A manticore! [The monster lets out a frightening roar]

Dusk Shine: We've gotta get past her! [The manticore lunges towards Elusive, but he jumps out of the way and counters with a kick.]

Elusive: Take that, you ruffian! [The manticoress roars in Elusive face, frazzling his mane] [Dejected] My hair… [The manticoress growls, scaring Elusive away]

Butterscotch: [quietly] You guys...

Applejack: [jump on the manticoress' back and rides her like a bull] YEE-HAW! Get along, little doggie.

Butterscotch: Uhhh… guys…

Applejack: [Gets bucked off] Whoa! [To Blitz] All yours, partner.

Rainbow Blitz: I'm on it. [Flies past Butterscotch]

Butterscotch: Blitz, wait! [Blitz attempts to use Rainblow Dry on the Manticoress, but she knocks him out midflight]

Dusk Shine: Rainbow!

Rainbow Blitz: [woozy] Uggg… I told you not to call me that. [Collapses]

[Furious, Dusk Shine, Elusive, Applejack, and Berry, all prepare to charge the manticoress together.]

Butterscotch: [Jumps in front of them] WAIT! [His friends stop confused]

[Butterscotch calmly approaches the manticore even as she prepairs another attack.]

Butterscotch: Shhh... It's okay. [Nuzzles the Manticore's forepaw causing her to reveal a thorn in her paw] Oh, you poor, little girl.

Rainbow Blitz: [Gets up] Little!?

Butterscotch: Now this might hurt for just a second. [Butterscotch removes the thorn.  The Manticore lets out a loud roar and grabs Butterscotch.]

Everypony: Butterscotch! [However, they are relieved to see that the manticore has been tamed and is now licking Butterscotch.]

Butterscotch: Awww, you're just a big softy, aren't you? Yes you are, yes you are. [The other use this time to sneak past the Manticoress]

Dusk Shine: How did you know about the thorn?

Butterscotch: [Returning to the group with a slobbery mane] I didn't.  I've always found that just showing a little kindness can make any animal happy.

[Next Scene: Even deeper into the forest]

Elusive: Eww. My eyes need a rest from all this dreadful scenery. [It gets very dark] Well, I didn't mean that literally…

Dusk Shine: That ancient ruin could be right in front of our faces and we wouldn't even know it.

[The six stallions struggle through the darkness unaware of their surroundings.  At the same time, Knight Terror Nebula's mist enters the trees.]

Applejack: Oh wait, I think I stepped in some mud.

Butterscotch: [scared] Sweet Solaris!

Applejack: It's just mud. [Looks at the trees which now have scary faces] AHHH!

[All the stallions (except Berry) start panicking.  Rather than screaming, they are running in circles, yelling out exclamations and trying to figure out what to do.  Berry, on the other hand, is making silly faces at one of the trees]


Dusk Shine: Berry what are you doing?!  Now is not the time for games!

Bubble Berry: You guys! Don't you see? [Starts singing] When I was just a little colt and the sun was going down…

Dusk Shine: [Annoyed] Tell me he's not…

Bubble Berry: [Singing] The darkness and the shadows, they would always make me frown…

Elusive: [Also annoyed] He is…

Bubble Berry: [Singing] I'd hide under my pillow, from what I thought I saw, but Pa Berr said that wasn't the way, to deal with fears at all…

Rainbow Blitz: Then what is?

Bubble Berry: [singing] He said: "Bubble, you gotta stand up tall, learn to face your fears. You'll see that they can't hurt you, just laugh to make them disappear." Hahaha! [The scary face on the tree disappears]

[The other five gasp in amazement]

Bubble Berry: [Singing] So, giggle at the ghostly, [Butterscotch laughs] guffaw at the grossly, [Rainbow Blitz joins in] crack up at the creepy, [Elusive joins in] whoop it up with the weepy, [Applejack joins in] chortle at the kooky, [Dusk Shine joins in] snortle at the spooky. [All in one long breath] And tell that big dumb scary face to take a hike and leave you alone and if he thinks he can scare you then he's got another thing coming and the very idea of such a thing just makes you wanna... hahahaha...heh... Laaaaaaauuugh! [All the trees return to normal, and all six stallions are laughing together.]

[Next Scene: The mane six are walking through the Everfree forest laughing together, when they come upon a raging river.]

Bubble Berry: [Perplexed] How the hay are we gonna cross this!?

[A woman can be heard sobbing in the distance.  Curious the six stallions follow the sound of the crying and find a female Sea Serpent.  She is weeping and beating her tail on the water, causing the rapids.]

Sea serpent: [sobbing] What a world, what a world.

Dusk Shine: Excuse me, miss. Why are you crying?

Sea serpent: Well, I don't know. I was just sitting here, minding my own business, when this tacky little cloud of black smoke just whisked past me and tore a lock of my beautiful hair clean off, [point to her mane, which is uneven due to a large strand having been torn off] and now I look simply awful. [She falls back into the water sobbing, getting the six stallions wet]

Rainbow Blitz: [annoyed] Pffft! Women…

Applejack: That's what all the fuss is about?

Elusive: Why, of course it is. How can you be so insensitive? Oh, just look at her. Such lovely luminescent scales.

Sea serpent: [sniffs] I know.

Elusive: And your beautiful radiant eyes.

Sea serpent: Oh, I know, I know.

Elusive: Your perfectly manicured nails.

Sea serpent: [gasp] It's so true!

Elusive: All ruined by your mane.

Sea serpent: It's true, I'm hideous!

Elusive: I simply cannot allow such a crime against fashion to go uncorrected. [Pulls off one of her scales]

Sea serpent: Ouch! What did you do that for?

Dusk Shine: Elusive, what are you- [Elusive uses the scale to cut something]

Sea serpent: [moans and faints.  She has fainted seeing that Elusive has cut off his own tail.  Elusive then adds his tail to the Serpent's hair, fixing its design] Oh-hohohoho! My hair. How fabulous!

Elusive: You look divine, my lady.

Dusk Shine: [impressed] Elusive, your tail...

Elusive: Oh. It's fine, my good man. A true gentleman must always show generosity in the presence of a lady. Besides, it'll grow back.

Rainbow Blitz: [To Dusk Shine] So would the Serpent's mane...

Dusk Shine: [Notices the river is now calm] Hey! We can cross now. Let's go. [The Serpent surfaces under Dusk creating a bridge.]

Sea serpent: Allow me. [All six use the Serpent to cross the river.]

[Next Scene: Our heroes have come to their destination.  All that stands between them now is a large gorge with a broken bridge.]

Dusk Shine: There it is, the ruin that holds The Elements of Harmony. We made it. [Dusk Shine run ahead out of excitement]

Applejack: Dusk, wait for us.

Dusk Shine: We're almost there. [Almost falls off the broken bridge] Whoa! [Rainbow Blitz pulls him to safty.]

Rainbow Blitz: What's with you and falling off cliffs today?

Bubble Berry: [Disappointed] Now what? [Rainbow Blitz clears his throat and shows off his wings] Oh yea.

[Blitz quickly flies down the gorge, grabs the broken part of the bridge, and carries it to the opposite side of the gorge.]

Voice: [Sounds similar to Anarchy Knight] Rainbow...

Rainbow Blitz: Who's there?

Voice: Rainbow...

Rainbow Blitz: Nopony calls me 'Rainbow'. I ain't scared of you! [Prepares for battle] Show yourself!

Voice: We've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the best flyer in Equestria.

Rainbow Blitz: Who?

Voice: Why, you, of course.

Rainbow Blitz: Really?! I mean... [deepens his voice and puffs out his chest] Oh yeah, me. Hey, uh, you wouldn't mind telling the Wonderbolts that, would ya? 'cause I've been trying to get into that group for like, ever.

Voice: No, Rainbow Blitz. We want you to join us, The Shadowbolts. [A stallion and two mares approach from the mist.  They are wearing a darker version of the Wonderbolt uniform.]

Male Shadowbolt: We're the greatest aerial team in the Everfree Forest, and soon we will be the greatest in all Equestria, but first, we need a captain. [Blitz gets excited] The most magnificent-

Rainbow Blitz: Yep.

Male Shadowbolt: Strongest-

Rainbow Blitz: Yes.

Shadowbolt: Bravest flyer in all the land.

Rainbow Blitz: Yes, [snickers] it's all true.

Shadowbolt: We need... [whispers in Blitz' ear] you.

Rainbow Blitz: WOOHOO! [does a hoof pump] Sign me up. Just let me tie this bridge real quick and then we have a deal.

Shadowbolt: No! [Blocks the rope] It's them or us.

Dusk Shine: Rainbow errr… I mean Blitz, what's taking so long? [Notices the Shadowbolts] Oh no. Blitz! [The Shadowbolts increase the fog, blocking out Blitz' friends] Don't listen to them.

Shadowbolt: Well?

Rainbow Blitz: You... Thank you! For the offer, I mean, [fixes the bridge] but my answer is no. [The shadowbolts disappear into the black mist, while Blitz flies back to his friends.] See? I'd never leave my friends hangin'.

[Next Scene: Inside the temple of the Elements of Harmony.]

Applejack: [looks at the Shrine of the Elements] Whoa. Come on, Dusk. Isn't this what you've been waitin' for?

Dusk Shine: The Elements of Harmony, [the five elements appear as five round stones] we've found them. [Blitz and Butterscotch start bringing them down] Careful, careful!

Bubble Berry: [counting] One, two, three, four... There's only five!

Rainbow Blitz: Where's the sixth?

Dusk Shine: The book said: when the five are present, a spark will cause the sixth Element to be revealed.

Applejack: [confused] What in the hay is that supposed to mean?

Dusk Shine: I'm not sure, but I have an idea. Stand back. I don't know what will happen. [Begins to cast a spell on the elements]

Applejack: Come on now, y'all. He needs to concentrate.

[As the other five are leaving, Knight Terror Nebula's black mist enters the room.  It quickly begins to steal the five elements with a whirlwind type spell]

Dusk Shine: [interrupted] Aah!

Other Five: Dusk Shine!

Dusk Shine: The Elements! [Jumps into the whirlwind spell after the elements and disappears. His five friends start to panic and question his disappearance.]

Applejack: Dusk, where are you?

Elusive: Look! [Points out the window to a light coming from one of the old castle's distant towers]

Applejack: Come on! [The five of them chase after the source of the light]

[Next Scene: Inside the distant tower]

Dusk Shine: [Teleports into the room, coughing. Gasps upon seeing Knight Terror Nebula.]

Knight Terror Nebula: Mhahahaha! [He is holding the five elements.]

Dusk Shine: [gasp in fear, but then gains some courage.  He rubs his hoof on the floor, preparing to charge.]

Knight Terror Nebula: You're kidding. [evil chuckle] Well, if it's a fight you want, it's a fight you shall get.

[The two stallions charge towards each other.  Just as they are about to collide, Dusk Shine teleports behind Knight Terror Nebula, and over to the elements.]

Dusk Shine: Just one spark. [starts casting a spell] Come on, come on. [Knight Terror Nebula quickly teleports to Dusk Shine and interrupts his spell] Aah! [Dusk Shine is knocked backwards]

Knight Terror Nebula: [notices the Elements have been sparked] [deep grumble] No, no! [Suddenly the elements stop sparking]

Dusk Shine: [shocked] But... where's the sixth Element?!

Knight Terror Nebula: [laughing maniacally, Anarchy Knight stomps the five elements into tiny shards. Dusk Shine looks on in horror.] You puny weakling! I am Night Terror Nebula! Did you really think you could defeat me? Now you will never see your Lord, or your sun! The night will last forever! Mhahahahaha!

[Suddenly Dusk Shine hears the other five coming up the stairs.  His eyes light up with hope.]

Dusk Shine:  You think you can destroy The Elements of Harmony just like that? Well, you're wrong, because the spirits of The Elements of Harmony are right here. [The six stallions are all together]

Knight Terror Nebula: [Suddenly, the Element shards start floating in the air] What?

Dusk Shine: Applejack, who reassured me when I was in doubt, represents the spirit of... honesty! [Some shards go over to Applejack]
Butterscotch, who tamed the manticore with his compassion, represents the spirit of... kindness! [Some shards go to Butterscotch]
Bubble Berry, who banished fear by giggling in the face of danger, represents the spirit of... laughter! [Some shards go to Berry]
Elusive, who calmed a sorrowful serpentess with a meaningful gift represents the spirit of... generosity! [Some shards go to Elusive]
And Rainbow Blitz, who could not abandon his friends for his own heart's desire represents the spirit of... loyalty! [The last few shards go to Blitz]
The spirits of these five stallions got us through every challenge you threw at us.

Knight Terror Nebula: [panicking] You still don't have the sixth Element! The spark didn't work!

Dusk Shine: But it did! A different kind of spark. [turns to his friends] I felt it the very moment I realized how happy I was to hear you, to see you, how much I cared about you. [his friends look flattered] The spark ignited inside me when I realized that you all are my friends. [Suddenly the sixth element appears above Dusk Shine.  The light emitted from this element forces Knight Terror Nebula to shield himself] You see, Knight Terror Nebula, when those Elements are ignited by the... the spark, that resides in the heart of us all, it creates the sixth element: the element of... magic.

[All six elements glow brightly.  Suddenly the shards around Butterscotch form together to make a cape.  Berry and Blitz' shards do the same thing, as do Applejack and Elusive's shards.  Lastly, the element of magic changes into a gold helmet for Dusk Shine.  With all six elements together, the six stallions fire a spell at Knight Terror Nebula.]

Knight Terror Nebula: [Hit by the spell] NOOO! Noooooo! [A blinding white light covers the screen.]

[Next Scene: The mane six start waking up in the same room.]

Rainbow Blitz: [wakes] Ugh, my head.

Applejack: Everypony okay?

Elusive: Oh, thank heavens. [admires himself]

Butterscotch: Wow! Elusive, it's so heroic.

Elusive: I know! I'll never part with it again. [Cuddles with his tail, which has grown back to normal.]

Butterscotch: No. Your cape. It has your cutie mark on the back.

Elusive: What? [looks at his cape] Ooooo. So does yours.

Butterscotch: [Looks at his own cape] Ooooo!

Bubble Berry: [Jumps around showing off his cape] Look at mine! Look at mine!

Rainbow Blitz: [Admiring his cape] Sweet. [Dusk Shine is busy admiring is golden Romanesque helmet]

Applejack: Gee, Dusk! I thought you were just spoutin' a lot of pony feathers, but I reckon we really do represent the elements of friendship.

Voice: [A manly but benevolent voice.  Similar sounding to Liam Neason.] Indeed you do.

[The sun finally rises and a giant glowing orb floats through one of the winds.  The orb shifts into the shape of a giant white alicorn stallion with a fiery red mane.  He is wearing gold armor, gold war boots, and golden helmet similar to the one Dusk Shine is wearing.  The six other stallions bow their heads in reverence.]

Dusk Shine: [Head bowed] Lord Solaris.

Lord Solaris: Dusk Shine, my faithful student. I knew you could do it.

Dusk Shine: [Raises himself] But... you told me it was all an old pony tale.

Lord Solaris: I told you that you needed to make some friends, nothing more. I saw the signs of Knight Terror Nebula's return and I knew it was you who had the magic inside to defeat him, but you could not unleash it until you let true friendship into your heart. Now if only another will as well. Lord Artemis!

[Sitting amongst the ruins of Knight Terror Nebula's armor is a handsome dark blue stallion. He is wearing a similar outfit to Solaris, only silver, and with a small crown instead of the helmet.  He gasps upon seeing Solaris]

Lord Solaris: It has been a thousand years since I have seen you like this. [Approaches Artemis] It is time to put our differences behind us. [Kneels down close to him] We were meant to rule together, little brother.

Everypony: Brother!?

Lord Solaris: Will you accept my friendship?

[The mane six are all looking on closely.  Berry leans a little too far and falls over.]

Bubble Berry: Whoa!

Lord Artemis: I'm… I'm so sorry, big brother! [Gets up and hugs Solaris] I missed you so much!

Lord Solaris: [Returns the hug] I've missed you, too.

Dusk Shine: [Notices Berry is crying] Berry… are you crying?

Bubble Berry: [blows his nose and sobs] No! I just got something in my eyes…  [Cheers up quickly] Hey! You know what this calls for? [Scene changes to Midsummer Solstice Festival] A Party!

[At the Midsummer Solstice Festival, the two Lords arrive via carriage.  Dusk Shine and Barbara are reunited, and Lord Artemis is finally recognized by the Citizens of Ponyville]

Lord Solaris: [Notices that Dusk Shine looks sad] Why so glum my most honorable student.  Are you not happy that your quest is complete, and you can return to your studies in Canterlot?

Dusk Shine: [Depressed] That's just it… Just when I learned how wonderful it is to have friends, I have to leave them.

Lord Solaris: Barbara! Take a note please.  [Barbara readies a pen and paper] I Lord Solaris, herby decree that the unicorn Dusk Shine shall take on a new mission for Equestria.  He must continue to study the power of friendship.  He must report to me his findings from his now home in Ponyville.

[The five other stallions more in and start congratulating Dusk Shine]

Dusk Shine:  [very happy] Thank you Lord Solaris.  I promise I will study harder than ever before.

[Cheers erupt from the audience.  The episode ends with one last comment from Bubble Berry.]

Bubble Berry: [to the audience] Isn't this exciting? Are you excited cause I'm excited I've never been so excited, well, except for the time that I went [gasp] but I mean really-
